AUX

AUX, or AUGH, in geography, the capital city of Gascogne in France. It is one of the richest archbishop's sees in France, though but a small town; situated in $20^\{\backslash circ\}\; E.$ long. and $43^\{\backslash circ\}\; 40\text{'}\; N.$ lat.
