BRITAIN

BRITAIN, or GREAT-BRITAIN, the most considerable of all the European islands, lies between $50^\{\backslash circ\}$ and $60^\{\backslash circ\}$ N. lat. and between $2^\{\backslash circ\}$ E. long. and $6^\{\backslash circ\}$ W. long.

The general division of Britain, is into South and North Britain, or England and Scotland.
