BUNIUM, in botany, a genus of the pentandria digynia class. The corolla is uniform; the umbella is thick; and the fruit is oval. There is but one species, viz. the bulbocastanum, earth-nut, kipper-nut, pig-nut, or hawk-nut, a native of Britain.
