CHONDRILLA, in botany, a genus of the syngenesia polygamia æqualis class. The calix is caliculated; the receptacle is naked; the pappus is simple, and furnished with a stipite; and the floscules are numerous. There is but one species, viz. the jancea, a native of Germany.
