CHRISTOPHERS, or St CHRISTOPHERS, one of the Caribbee islands, to which Columbus gave his Christian name: W. long. 62^{\circ}, N. lat. 71^{\circ} 30'.

It is about twenty miles long, and seven broad; VOL. II. No. 38.

and has a high mountain in the middle, from whence some rivulets run down. Its produce is chiefly sugar, cotton, ginger, and indigo. It is a British colony, and lies about sixty miles west of Antego.
