CHRYSOMELA, in zoology, a genus of insects, belonging to the order of coleoptera. The antennæ are shaped like bracelets, and thicker on the outside; and neither the breast nor the elytra are marginated. There are no less than 122 species, principally distinguished by differences in their colour.
