CIRCUMDUCTION, in Scots law. When parties in a suit are allowed a proof of addigeamus after the time limited by the judge for taking that proof is elapsed, either party may apply for circumduction of the time of proving: the effect of which is, that no proof can afterwards be brought, and the cause must be determined as it stood when circumduction was obtained.
