CLAVARIA, in botany, a genus of the cryptogamia fungi class. It is smooth and oblong. The species are eight, seven of which are natives of Britain, viz. the pillaris, or simple clavaria; the ophioglossoides, or black clavaria; the digitata, or fingered clavaria; the hypoxylon, or flat clavaria; the coralloides, or yellow clavaria; the fastigiata, or stinking clavaria; and the muscoides, or pointed clavaria.
