COLUMNÆA, in botany, a genus of the didynamia angiospermiæ class. The calix is divided into five segments; the upper labium of the corolla is vaulted and entire, and gibbous at the base; the antheræ are connected; and the capsule is bilocular. There is but one species, viz. the scandens, a native of Martinico.
