CORK, in geography, the capital of a county of the same name, in Ireland, and province of Munster, situated on the river Lee, about fifty miles south of Limerick: W. long. $8^\{\backslash circ\}\; 25\text{'}$, and N. lat. $51^\{\backslash circ\}\; 40\text{'}$.
