CUSCUTA, or DODDER, a genus of the retrandria digynia class. The calix consists of four segments; the corolla has but one petal; and the capsule is bilocular. There are two species, one of which is a native of Britain, viz. the Europeæ, dodder, hell-weed, or devil's guts.
