Jus DELIBERANDI, in Scots law, an apparent heir is allowed a year after his predecessor's death, called annus deliberandi, to deliberate whether he will enter and represent him or not, during which time he cannot be pursued for the debts of his predecessor. See SCOTS LAW, title 27.
