EUFATORIUM, HEMP-AGRIMONY, in botany, a genus of the syngenesia polygamia æqualis class. The receptacle is naked; the pappus is plumose; the calix is oblong and imbricated; and the stylus is long and semi-bisid. There are twenty-one species, only one of which is a native of Britain, viz. the cannabinum, hemp-agrimony, or Dutch agrimony. The leaves are said to strengthen the stomach.
