GLAUX, in botany, a genus of the pentandria-monogynia class. The calix consists of one leaf; it has no corolla; the capsule has one cell, 5 valves, and 5 seeds. There is but one species, viz. the maritima, sea-milkwort, or glass-wort, a native of Britain.
