GREECE, the present Rumelia, and the ancient Hellas, is situated between $20^\{\backslash circ\}$ and $26^\{\backslash circ\}$ E. long. and between $36^\{\backslash circ\}$ and $44^\{\backslash circ\}$ N. lat.

It reaches from the Adriatic sea eastward to the Archipelago, and is generally a healthy and fruitful country.
