CARLSTADT is also the name of a town in the bishopric of Wurtzburg, in the circle of Franconia in Germany, situated on the river Maine, about fourteen miles north of Wurtzburg: E. long. 9^{\circ} 50', and N. lat. 50^{\circ}.
