HANAU, the capital of a county of the same name in Germany, is pleasantly situated on the river Kunts, thirteen miles east of Frankfurt, and twelve north-west of Aschaffenburg: E. long. 8^{\circ} 45', N. lat. 50^{\circ} 12'.
