LEONTICE, in botany, a genus of the hexandria monogynia class. The corolla consists of six petals, and the nectarium of six leaves inserted into the ungues of the corolla, and having an open limbus; and the calix has six deciduous leaves. There are four species, none of them natives of Britain.
