LIGUSTICUM, LOVAGE, in botany, a genus of the pentandria digynia class. The fruit is oblong, with five furrows on each side. There are six species, two of them natives of Britain, viz. the scotticum, or Scottish sea-parsley; and the cornubiense, or Cornwal faxifrage.
