MARRUBIUM, in botany, a genus of the didynamia gymnosperma class. The calix is rigid, with ten streaks; and the upper lip of the corolla is bifid, linear, and erect. There are nine species, only one of them, viz. the vulgare, or white horehound, is a native of Britain.
