RESEDA, in botany, a genus of the dodecandria trigynia class. The calix consists of one deeply cut leaf; the petals are laciniated; and the capsule has one cell. There are 11 species, two of them natives of Britain, viz. the lutea, or base-rocket; and the luteola, wild woad, or dyers-weed.
