SARDINIA

SARDINIA, an island of the Mediterranean, situated between $8^\{\backslash circ\}$ and $10^\{\backslash circ\}$ E. long. and between $39^\{\backslash circ\}$ and $41^\{\backslash circ\}$ N. lat. It is about one hundred and forty miles long, and sixty broad; and gives the title of king to the duke of Savoy, under whose dominion it is.
