SERAPIAS in botany, a genus of the gynandria diandria class. The nectarium is oval and gibbous, with an oval lip. There are five species, two of them natives of Britain, viz. the latifolia, or broad-leaved bastard hellebore; and the lingitolia, or white-flowered bastard hellebore.
