MOLUCCA-ISLANDS, five islands in the Indian ocean, the largest of which is scarce thirty miles round; they are called Bachian, Machian, Motyr, Ternate, and Tydor; they produce fago, oranges, lemons, and some other fruits; but what is peculiar to these islands, is their producing cloves. They are subject to the Dutch, and are situated in 125^{\circ} of east longitude, and between 50^{\circ} south, and 2^{\circ} north latitude.
