ZYGOPHYLLUM, in botany, a genus of the decandria monogynia class. The corolla consists of five leaves, and the corolla of five petals; the nectarium consists of ten leaves, covering the germin, and the capsule has five cells. There are 8 species, none of them natives of Britain.
