AGRIPPA (Marcus Vispanius), son-in-law to Augustus, of mean birth, but one of the most considerable generals among the Romans. Augustus's victory over Pompey and Mark Anthony was owing to his counsel: he adorned the city with the pantheon, baths, aqueducts, &c.
