ALBIOECE, or ALEBECE, (Pliny, Strabo;) otherwise called Reii Apollinæres, from their superstitious worship of Apollo; also Civitas Reiensium; now Riez, in Provence, about 18 leagues to the north-east of Toulon, on the north side of the rivulet Verdon; was originally a Roman colony, (Inscription.) It is sometimes written Regium. The people were called Albici, (Cæsar.) E. Long. 1. 0. Lat. 43. 20.
