APINA, or Apina, a town of Apulia, built by
Diomedes, as was also Trice, (Pliny). Apina and
Trice is a proverbial saying for things trifling and of
no value, (Martial); and Apinarii was the appellation
for triflers or buffoons, (Trebellius Pollio.)
