BAUDRAND (Michael Anthony), a celebrated geographer, born at Paris, July 18. 1633. He travelled into several countries; and then applied himself to the revival of Ferrarius's Geographical Dictionary, which he enlarged by one-half. He wrote, 1. Notes to Papirius Massio's Description of the Rivers of France. 2. A Geographical and Historical Dictionary. 3. Christian Geography, or an Account of the Archbishops and Bishops of the whole World; and made several maps. He died at Paris, May 29. 1700.
