BONOSIANI, or BONOSIACI, an ancient branch of Adoptians, in the fourth century, denominated from their leader Bonosus, a bishop of Macedonia. The Bonosiani were prior to the Feliciani, and even to Nestorius; whence some rather consider them as a branch of Arians. They allowed Christ to be no otherwise the Son of God than by adoption.
