AUGUSTOBONA, a city of the Tricassers in ancient Gaul, from whom it was afterwards called Tricassers, and Trecassie; and still farther corrupted to Tracæ, or Treci; whence the modern name Troyes, in Champagne on the Seyne. See Troyes.
