BRENT, a town of Devonshire, with a market on
Saturdays, and two fairs, on May 13th and October 10th,
for horned cattle. It is but a small place, and lies on
the road from Exeter to Plymouth, being 26 miles
south-west from the former, and 198 west-by-south of
