BRIGANTIA, or BRIGANTIUM, (anc. geog.), a town of Vindelicia; now Bregenz, in Tyrol, at the east end of the lake of Constance*.—Another Brigantium in the Alpes Cottiae; which last is probably Briancan, a town on the borders of Dauphiny†.
