BRISGAW, a territory of Germany, in the circle of Suabia, on the eastern banks of the Rhine, about 50 miles in length, and 30 in breadth. The principal places are Old Brisach, New Brisach, Freyburgh, Rheinmareck, and an island in the Rhine.
