CIRENZA, a city of Naples, capital of the Basilicate, with an archbishop's see. It was formerly a considerable place, but is now of small consequence. It is seated on the river Brandano, at the foot of the Appenine mountains, in E. Long. 16. 44. N. Lat. 40. 48.
