ENNEANDRIA, in botany, (from νῆς, nine, and άνδρ, a man or husband), the name of the ninth class in Linnaeus's sexual system, consisting of plants which have hermaphrodite flowers with nine stamens or male organs. See BOTANY, p. 1292.
