DIDYNAMIA, (from dis twice, and dynamis power), the name of the 14th class in Linnæus's sexual method; consisting of plants with hermaphrodite flowers, which have four stamens or male organs, two of which are long and two short. See BOTANY, p. 1292, and Plate LIX. fig. 14.
