IVES (St.), a town of Huntingdonshire, in England. It is an ancient, large, and handsome place, seated on the river Ouse, over which is a fine stone bridge. Here was a priory, which is now in ruins. It has one large church, two dissenting, and a Popish meeting, with about 500 houses; the streets are pretty wide, and tolerably well paved. W. Long. 0. 7. N. Lat. 52. 20.
