Kinds of GLASS. Of these materials we have many sorts of glàs made, which may principally be distinguished according to their beauty: as the crystal flint-glàs, the crystal white-glàs, the green-glàs, and the bottle-glàs. Again, these several sorts are distinguished by their several uses: as plate or coach glàs, looking-glàs, optic-glàs, &c. which are made of the first sort. The second sort includes crown-glàs, toys, phials, drinking glàs, &c. The third sort is well known by its colour, and the second by its form.
