MARSAQUIVER, or MARSALQUIVER, a strong and ancient town of Africa, on the coast of Barbary, and in the province of Beni-Arax, in the kingdom of Tremefen, with one of the best harbours in Africa. It was taken by the Spaniards in 1732. It is seated on a rock near a bay of the sea, in W. Long. 0. 10. N. Lat. 35. 40.
