LOBINEAU (Guy Alexis), a Benedictine monk, born at Rennes in 1666, spent his whole life in the study of history, and the writing of several works; the principal of which are, The history of Brittany, 2 vols folio; and A continuation of Felibien's history of Paris, 9 vols folio. He died in 1727.
