LUCAR DE BARRAMEDA (St.), an handsome and considerable town of Spain, with a very good harbour, well defended, in Andalusia. It was once the greatest port in Spain, before the galleons unloaded their treasure at Cadiz. It is seated at the mouth of the river Qundalquiver. W. Long. 6. 5. N. Lat. 36. 40.
