MORDELLA, in zoology, a genus of the coleoptera class of insects. The antennæ are thread-shaped and ferrated; the head is dejected under the neck; the pappi are clavate, compressed, and obliquely blunted; and the elytra are bent backwards near the apex. There are six species, all natives of different parts of Europe.
