NICEPHORUS (Gregorius), a Greek historian in the 14th century, was librarian to the church of Constantinople, and had a great share in the transactions of his time. He wrote a history, which extends from the year 1204 to 1341. The best edition of this work is that of the Louvre, in Greek and Latin, in 1702.
