TOCKAY, a very strong town of Upper Hungary, in the county of Zemplin, with a castle. It is noted for its excellent wine, which is produced but in one vineyard, insomuch that it is scarce at Vienna itself; so that it is no wonder to find other wines often sold for it. Some distance from the town are large salt-works. It is seated at the confluence of the rivers Bodrag and Teisse. E. Long. 21. 5. N. Lat. 48. 0.
