XYNOECIA, in Grecian antiquity, an anniversary feast, observed by the Athenians in honour of Minerva, upon the sixteenth of Hecatombaeon, in memory that, by the persuasion of Theseus, they left their country-seats, in which they lay dispersed here and there in Attica, and united together in one body.
