ANTANDROS, (anc. geog.) a town of Myfia, on the sea-coast, at the foot of mount Alexandria, a part of mount Ida, (Strabo, Ptolemy): it was a town of the Leleges, (Strabo); anciently called Edonis, then Cimmeris, (Pliny, Stephanus.) It takes its name from Antandros, a general of the Æoleans: it is now called S. Dimitri.
