AUGUSTOBONA, a city of the Tricassers, in ancient Gaul, from whom it was afterwards called Tricassers, and Trecaisse; and still farther corrupted to Thraca, or Trece; whence the modern name Troyes, in Champagne on the Seyne. See TROYES.
