AUGUSTORITUM (anc. geog.), according to some authors the capital of the Pictones, afterwards called Pidavii; now Pidiers. But by Antonine's Itinerary from Burdigala to Argantomagus (or Argenton, as it is interpreted by many), it can be no other but the capital of the Lemovices, now Limoges, situate between Velunna of the Petrocorii, or Perigueux, and Argantomagus.
