ARGENTUM Muscum is a mass consisting of silver-like flakes, used for the colouring of plaster figures, and for other purposes, as pigment. It consists of an amalgam of equal parts of tin, bismuth, and mercury. It is to be mixed with white of eggs, or spirit varnish, and then applied to the intended work, which is afterwards to be burnished.
